CE RED<\/h2>\n

CE RED refers to EU Directive 2014\/53\/EU which according to the European Commission: \u201cestablishes a regulatory framework for placing radio equipment on the market. It ensures a single market for radio equipment by setting essential requirements for safety and health, electromagnetic compatibility, and the efficient use of the radio spectrum.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The FCC defines three types of radiator, intentional, unintentional and incidental.\u00a0 An IoT device is therefore an intentional radiator and must receive FCC certification according to\u00a0 Part 15C \u2013 Radio Frequency Devices of Title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations.<\/p>\n
